Fuel Retailers' Association

MARGIN

The FRA is instrumental in working with the Government to secure increases for Fuel Retailers' in the Profit Margin on fuel by “continually improving” margin investigations in order to improve the viability of FRA members.

PROLIFERATION OF NEW STATIONS

The FRA has successfully fought against numerous new sites being built, which would detrimentally affect existing Fuel Retailers. All members have to do is to contact us when they see the Municipal Notices and the FRA will do the rest to protect your business.

The FRA is a watchdog in all matters relating to “environmental impact assessments” and has played an important role in the drafting of the new NEMA Act

DEBIT BACKS

Over 75% of Debit Backs have been successfully re-debited to banks after FRA intervention.

SECURITY

The FRA had substantial input into the Human Sciences Research Councils “In Terror And In Silence” document and will continue to be a driving force in improvements in this area.

Special focus on Industry specifically cash in transit initiatives and the costing of these.

 

 

NEW LEGISLATION

The FRA is proactive in ensuring that the Fuel Retailers' voice is heard in all new Government Legislation that affects the sustainability of our industry.

The most important of these being the Petroleum products Amendment Bill that includes Licensing and an Industry Arbitrator.

DEPOSIT FEES - BANKS

Special arrangements have been put in place whereby Fuel Retailers' should be able to reduce their cash deposit fees.
